Resilience Hub Workshop

In the fall of 2022, youth working across the East Bay came together to plan and lead a climate resilience hub workshop at Lion Creek Crossings. The workshop was supported by a partnership between New Voices Are Rising at the Rose Foundation, Local Clean Energy Alliance, Castlemont High School Student Urban Design Academy (SUDA), and East Bay Asian Local Development Corporation (EBALDC) as a contribution to the Healthy Havenscourt Collaborative’s quality jobs and resident leadership priorities.

Annual Block Party

Healthy Havenscourt has co-hosted a public festival to celebrate the work of collaborative partners, residents, and youth every spring since 2020 in partnership with Destiny Arts Center and Black Cultural Zone. In 2023, Better Neighborhoods Same Neighbors joins as event co-host.

Please join us on Saturday May 20, 2023 from 11am-3pm at the Coliseum BART parking lot. This event is made possible thanks to funding from the City of Oakland, Cultural Funding Program.

Creative Summit

The creative summit is a celebration of resident leadership & creative power-building, held on March 26, 2022 from 11am-3pm at the Rainbow Rec Center, 5800 International Blvd.

Bringing together resident leaders and creatives from East Oakland, West Oakland and Chinatown, the goal of the event was for resident leaders and creatives to meet each other, celebrate and share lessons from 100+ completed creative community development projects, and get inspired for future work together.
